The Design process

Product Inspiration

In developing the design for my e-commerce website, I started with research. To get a better understanding of the market, I analyzed two of my competitors to identify their strengths and opportunities. By doing this, I was able to gain insights that helped me create a unique and functional platform for my customers. The end result is a visually stunning and user-friendly website that offers high-end design furniture made in Manchester at an affordable price.

User Personas

After analyzing my competitors, I developed user personas based on my research. This helped me gain a better understanding of users’ goals, needs, and behaviors, and allowed me to create a platform that is both functional and unique. The end result is a visually stunning and user-friendly e-commerce website that offers high-end design furniture made in Manchester at an affordable price.

Sketch Out The Product

To make sure I fully understand what my users want and need, I’ve started by creating a mood board that showcases all of my ideas. This board includes possible website layouts, color schemes, and other design elements that will help me create a visually stunning e-commerce platform. Before I begin the actual design process, I will share this mood board with my client to get their feedback and make sure I’m on the right track. This way, I can be sure that the final product will be both functional and unique while offering high-end design furniture made in Manchester at an affordable price.

Wireframe

I took a comprehensive approach to understanding my users’ wants and needs. Using user personas and user flows, I sketched out a wireframe that I believed best addressed my goals. To do this, I utilized AdobeXD, which gave me the freedom to make changes without affecting the live product. Before proceeding to the actual design phase, I shared this wireframe with my client for approval. This way, I can ensure that the final product will meet the expectations of my client and provide unique and functional e-commerce platform to offer high-end design furniture made in Manchester at an affordable price.

High Quality Prototype

Based on the Mood Board and wireframe I created, I went ahead and developed a high-quality prototype that addressed my clients’ needs and wants. To ensure that the final product met their expectations, I carefully analyzed the strong and weak points of the website’s overall style and made a list of good features, interesting solutions, as well as those we did not like. This enabled me to prepare a detailed analysis that helped me determine if a product like the one we were creating already existed in the market. The end result was a unique and functional e-commerce platform that offered high-end design furniture made in Manchester.

Prototype

After creating a Mood Board and wireframe, I proceeded to develop a high-quality prototype that catered to my clients’ requirements. To ensure that the final product met their expectations, I carefully analyzed the website’s overall style, noting down its strengths and weaknesses. This helped me prepare a detailed analysis that determined if a similar product already existed in the market. The end result was an exceptional e-commerce platform that offered high-end design furniture made in Manchester at an affordable price point. Moving forward, I recommend prototyping to explore alternative design solutions without any development effort. Prototyping allows for testing on real users to discover usability issues before launching the final product.

Testing Finale Showcase

I decided to conduct remote moderated usability testing on my design using the prototype I had developed. I recruited 5 participants from the community and asked them to complete various tasks to help me understand their process and determine if they could achieve my goals. During the testing, I also asked for their feedback on the prototype, including what they liked and disliked about it. This process allowed me to gain valuable insights and make any necessary improvements before launching the final product.
